Setup & tear down Information

Start off by checking in and getting your exhibitor badges at registration.  The first person to check-in from your company will receive all the lunch and party tickets ordered by your admin. Please do not loose then as they cannot be replaced. Our staff will also help you setup the Lead Generation system.

SETUP hours 8/6/2024:
Heavy Equipment/forklift Required Exhibitors- 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
General Exhibitor - 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

TEAR DOWN hour 8/8/2024:

3:00 PM - 7:00 PM **After 7:00 PM there will be a $100 per hour charge per exhibitor. Please notify show organizers if this will be a challenge for your team. (**Exceptions do exist and we’ll address than as they arise)

DeVos Place is non-union and all exhibitors can bring their sales demos and booth items directly into the venue. There are some carts for moving equipment in, but plan ahead and bring your own.  We do have a fork trucks to help with large demos and AME pre-paid for two hours of this service so there are no forms or payments necessary.   If you have demos being picked up or are picking them up yourself you may line up on Michigan Ave beginning at 1:30PM but please not any sooner. DeVos Security may instruct early arrivers to make a lap around the block until lining up is permitted. Please expect slight delays when loading and unloading

EARLY TEARDOWN FEE

Any exhibitor that begins to teardown their booth without express permission from AME organizers will be charged $600. Fee will automatically be charged for those in violation. Any exhibitor that is in clear violation of this rule and disputes the fee will not be permitted back at AME. For clarity, this is also specified during the registration process and specifically agreed upon in order to complete reservation.

SETUP & TEAR DOWN PARKING - 8/6/24 & 8/8/24:
The venue affords each exhibitor that is utilizing the parking structure under the DeVos Place two hour parking vouchers. Exhibitor that are loading and unloading items from their vehicles are encouraged to utilize this free service. The is also freight elevator (Section K) that is accessible form the parking lot. Below you will see the parking lot map and where the Freight Elevator is located. After you have completed your loading and/or unloading there will be a security guard stationed at the freight elevator and they will provide you with the pass. Exhibitor parking is not included outside of the aformanetioned parking vouchers.

LOADING DOCKS

The Red dot marks the loading docks for DeVos Place. NO LEFT TURN from Michigan St. into the loading docks.

MAKE SURE you insure your products for lost, thief, or damage as the AME is not responsible for this.  The DeVos Place also has explicit rules that bar them from responsibility.  Your staff is responsible for getting your demos on the truck so stay by your demo when the fork truck is loading.  No demo will be loaded with the fork truck without your staff there.
